inspection by the ACO
Daniel Perdrix from the Automobile Club de L’Ouest, visited Radical’s Peterborough factory today, to check out the Radical SR9. Designer, Peter Elleray and Rollcentre Racing’s Martin Short were in attendance, as was Radical co-founder, Phil Abbott and in-house designer, Vincent Rassat.

Rollcentre Racing’s chief engineer, Mike Tallentire and Radical’s senior engineer, Mike Rowe and race engineer Gavin Nightingale, who have been burning the midnight oil to get the SR9 ready, were understandably proud of their creation.

Radical’s SR9 Le Mans P2 programme has developed into a full works attack on the Le Mans Series and if approved, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The SR9 is based on the latest aerodynamic thinking of proven Le Mans designer, Peter Elleray. The design incorporates the latest 775kg P2 ACO regulations. The SR9 styling is both unique and visually dramatic.

Radical has the full backing of transmission specialists Judd, AER and Ricardo, while Dunlop are providing a works tyre development programme.

Our first customer, Tim Greaves will be running an AER-powered car, run by the Radical works team in the LMS, while our second customer, Martin Short will be running two Judd-powered cars in the LMS and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, if his entries are approved by the ACO.
