Stunning performance by the SR5 in 12-hours of Magny Cours
Shaun Balfe, Nigel Taylor and Ross Kaiser had a superb race in the Radical SR5 at the 12 hours of Magny Cours.  The sixty-car grid saw Ross qualify within a second of pole in eleventh position.

By the hour mark the Balfe Motorsport team had worked their way to sixth and were constantly lapping in the top 3.  Then disaster struck, a radiator stone guard fitted to protect the radiator, itself holed the radiator causing the team to spend 15 laps in the pits repairing the steaming radiator!

On rejoining the race the team was dead last!  But from then on the SR5 ran like clockwork into the night, picking off cars lap after lap.  The “strong performance” by the Balfe team earned them 6th place.

Shaun was circumspect, “The car ran superbly and was very easy to drive.  The radiator problem lost us a certain podium but the team proved itself and we will come back stronger for Estoril.  With the on-going development and support from the Radical Factory I have no doubt that we will go into next season with a realistic chance of winning the series”
