Quickest-Ever Brands Lap

The first Brands Hatch test for the SR8 was a huge success. Out of the box the SR8 lapped the Indy circuit in 43.8 seconds, 2 seconds faster than the fastest SR3 lap in 2004.

A wide range of drivers were also given the opportunity to drive the SR8. Michael Vergers one of our test drivers, was almost speechless, "I'm stunned it's the fastest I've ever been round Paddock Hill and it will go faster," was his first response.

Marcus Pye from Autosport magazine was the first journalist to drive the SR8 (I guess his thoughts will be in the Autosport next week) his first comments were, "Amazing, not only is the car amazingly fast but the braking and handling are just as impressive."
