Radical is to expand its racing programme into the winter with the addition of the Radical Nevada Cup, our new European winter racing and track day series in Southern Spain. The six-race, three-round series will run to the Radical European Masters format (provisional regulations).

The Radical Nevada Cup will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at Ascari Race Resort (Malaga, December 8 and 9), Guadix (Granada, January 26 and 27), and the new Formula 1 test circuit at Monteblanco (Sevilla, February 23 and 24). The winter series will open with a practice weekend at Guadix (Malaga) on December 1 and 2.

Classes will be run for the SR8, SR5/SR3 1500, SR3 1300, SR4, PR6 and invited Radicals. A sponsorship package with prize money has been secured, with novices as well as leading teams being targeted to share the rewards. Single and two driver teams may enter with 3 × 30 minute practice/qualifying sessions and two 50 minute races. Additional sessions will be available to entertain your sponsors and friends in a Radical, to host Radical driving events or to just do more laps.

Secure storage for cars and transporters will be made available in Spain, enabling teams to attend all four events without the costs and time of transportation to each event.

The Radical Nevada Cup represents an excellent opportunity to maintain your racing skills during the winter season and match up with highly competitive teams from the UK, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Portugal, France, Belgium, Sweden and Spain. You can of course entertain your sponsors, offer tests to new customers or you can just drive and enjoy your Radical. The tracks are superb and the hospitality is excellent and will have a definite Spanish flavour.

After all, who wants to race at a damp, cold Snetterton or Nürburgring in the winter when you can fly to Southern Spain and compete in the ‘Nevada’ sun?
